JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel is using nanotechnology to try to create a robot no bigger than a hornet that would be able to chase, photograph and kill its targets, an Israeli newspaper reported on Friday.

The most formidable weapons system developed against Muslims is SPAM (Smart Pig Air-launched Munitions) including such horrors as laser- and GPS-guided cluster sows.

The most potent weapon against fanaticism is education. It is equally capable of threatening the existence of nut-cases from all sides without regard to nationality, religion, culture, or political persuasion.

Which may well explain why no one in power is suggesting it as the solution.

The first step in the war against terrorism would be to do something realistic about the Palestinian problem. It may not solve the problem but it is immpossible to solve it without that step. Perhaps it is already too late because many Muslims have been radicalised by the West's blind support of ancient myths. These myths were developed more than two and a half thousand years ago to justify an expansionist state and are being used these days for the same purpose. Of course Muslims have their own myths. As DA says "The most potent weapon against fanaticism is education."

There really is no solution to the Palestinian problem. The west has, of course, made the situation worse by meddling. But there is no solution that can be imposed that will make things work ... and no solution the parties are capable of agreeing to on their own that will make things work.
