anyone think that it would be a clever idea for the
military to use smart gun technology?

1 EMP over a warzone or weapons storage facility and none of the guns would work.

1 large EMP over a country and none of the guns would work.

figure the odds of smart militaries using smart gun technology.

but a government that seeks to destroy itself would stand in
line for such an opportunity.

the US Government is considering the use of smart gun technology to give the industry a boost ...

I wouldn't trust the smart gun technology no further than
I trust cell phone technology.

the gun control control freaks would secretly have a remote cut
off switch embedded in the electronics for when they decide
to unleash massive constitutional rights violations to pacify
the foreign rulers of the US government.

BTW , cell hone technology proves that they could embed a
remote cut off switch in the weapons smart gun electronics.

also: where would the electronics be made ... hmmmmmm?

figure the odds of a company paying employees in a factory
in the US minimum wage when they can pay less than $0.30 an hour in china or other Asian and just low wage start up countries to build the parts.

maybe this will be the grand finale in the big picture of world
gun control pipe dreams.

Perhaps we could give the majority of people what they want.

Confiscate all fire arms and destroy them. Gun control lobby happy.
Do the same with bombs, and all other weapons. Disarmament lobby happy.
Ensure that every country has only smart weaponry. Big business happy.
Ensure that every country has the means to render smart weapons useless. Pacifists happy.
Incite aggression between all countries. Warmongers (ie most politicians) happy.
Only primitive weapons available. Re-enactment groups Happy.
Start lots of online discussions about the situation. "Put the world to rights" enthusiasts happy.

There must be more we could satisfy.

well , you certainly cant please everybody.
and everyone doesn't understand the dangers
that gun control causes when implemented.

all they have seen in the U.S. until recently is
the effects of gun control in other countries that
have enacted gun control laws and local instances
of gun control that caused crime rates to skyrocket.

with gun control there is a lot more profit because there
is a lot more crime thus more money being made from criminals being imprisoned.

because without gun control the only profit is the sale
of guns and ammo and the few that work in the industry.

which tells me that gun control is not only a tool that the
elite desire as a control method over the populous but would also result in a dramatic positive economic increase due to
the added jobs and the thousands of industries that would benefit from
gun control.

which states that you would either be

1) a law abiding citizen until you lose your job to outsourcing or technology and / or are forced to be a criminal because
of the lack of jobs due to your countries free trade with low wage nations.

2) a prisoner within the prison industry.

3) a employee or guard in the prison industry until your job is replaced by electronically controlled prison equipment or
prisoners are being outsourced to low wage nations.

4) in the military fighting wars caused by the lack of
jobs in the enemies country due to that countries free trade with low wage nations.

5) a released prisoner or discharged military serviceman who does not qualify for social security or va benefits cycled back to (1)

6) there is no (6) unless you count being dead as (6)
