Sabine Hossenfelder in her Back Reaction blog has an article about a proposed experiment to determine if gravity is quantized. I don't pretend to completely understand the experiment, but a group of researchers have proposed a table top experiment that may be able to determine if gravity is quantized. Take a look at Sabine's report A newly proposed table-top experiment might be able to demonstrate that gravity is quantized. If they can do it it will be a big step in closing the gap between classical and quantum theory. At least it will give us a good idea that there should or shouldn't be a theory of quantum gravity.

C is the universal speed limit.
