Does Light Quanta have mass?
1.
According to Michelson-Morley experiment light quanta
moves with constant speed: c=1.
The physicists say it is result of lack mass at light quanta.
2.
According to GRT gravitation bends light quanta.
This fact was tested by experiment and showed that
Einstein was right.
But to be bend from the straight line light quanta
must have a mass.
3.
If light quanta has mass when according to SRT, moving
with constant speed c=1 its mass become infinite.
That is impossible.
4.
School’s question: What is Light Quanta?
======================= . .
P.S.
On my opinion without to understand what " The Law
of Conservation and Transformation of Energy/ Mass"
means according to single light quanta this question
connot be solved.
( And , please, don’t forget about dualism of light quanta:
as a particle without mass ( ?), and a wave as a - ? )

Particle without positive rest mass and zero surface curvature couldn't be localized in our Universe. By my opinion photon has zero rest mass, albeit quite minute one.

Dr. Kanda
Tell me how to quantize light.
Start with Maxwell's wave equation and quantize it.

1.
It is impossible to explain ` how to quantize light' starting
`with Maxwell's wave equation.'
We can not apply em waves to get light quanta.
2.
It is possible to explain ` how to quantize light' starting
with Planck's ` black body' or with Einstein's article:
` On a Heuristic Point of View Concerning the
Production and Transformation of Light.'

Dr. Kanda
Show me how you get the light quanta in this way.

Many years M. Planck was attracted with the
absolutely black body problem.
If quantum of light moving with speed c=1 falls
in area of absolutely black body ( Kirchhoff's Vacuum
radiation /Max Laue / ) and does not radiate back,
then " terminal dead " comes. In order to save the
quantum of light from death Planck decided that
it is possible that quantum of light will radiate this
quantum of light back with quantum unit h=Et.
Physicists say, that Planck's unit is one: h=1.
Having this unit h=1 photon flies with speed c=1.
This unit doesn't come from formulas or equations.
Planck introduced this unit from heaven, from ceiling.
Sorry. Sorry.
I must write: Planck introduced this unit intuitively.
I must write: Planck introduced unit h phenomenologically
So, where does the Planck's constant ( h) come from?

3.
It is possible to explain ` how to quantize light' starting
with Einstein's Paper: ` On a Heuristic Point of View
Concerning the Production and Transformation of Light.'

Planck took constant (h=Et) from heaven.
Einstein has gone by other way.
He wrote his quanta by formula: h=kb
k – Boltzmann constant.
b – Wien displacement law constant .

In 1906 Einstein showed that these two ideas are equivalent.

Dr. Kanda
Show mw why this is equivalent to Dirac's em field quanta.

1.
From an article:
` In 1928, Paul Dirac wrote an equation,
which combined quantum theory and special relativity,
to describe the behavior of the electron. Dirac's equation could have
two solutions, one for an electron with positive energy,
and one for an electron with negative energy. But in classical physics
(and common sense ), the energy of a particle must always
be a positive number.
Dirac interpreted this to mean that for every particle that exists
there is a corresponding antiparticle, exactly matching the particle
but with opposite charge. For the electron, for instance, there
should be an `antielectron' . Dirac speculated on the existence
of a completely new Universe made out of antimatter.'
2.
An `antielectron' is `virtual ` particle in Vacuum.
To study behavior of an elephant you must know what savanna is.
To study behavior of a whale you must know what ocean is.
To study behavior of an electron you must know what vacuum is.
Without knowing what vacuum is all our debates are nonsense.

Dr. Kanda
Tell me why such quanta has to have zero-rest mass and speed c.

Light quanta cannot be silly particle moving
only with constant speed c=1 for ever .

Each wave equation is just an idealization of reality, derived under assumption, potential energy is an linear function of amplitude. Therefore Maxwell wave equation is possible to quantize by conformal rescalings of space-time metric, as first proposed by Eastwood and Singer. We can observe the boson formation even at the water surface, because particle character of water constrains the linear behavior of continuum, on which the ideal wave equation is based. You can consider this analogy as another evidence of Aether Wave model of light.
