The United States Constitution
Quote:
Section 7 - Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto

All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives

I have heard that there are several Republicans who have signed a pact that states that they will not raise any taxes.

http://technorati.com/politics/article/breaking-news-sen-bob-bennett-republicans/

by this act they have removed their ability to perform their duties as state senators and should be immediately removed from office.

there are 43 republican senators that have signed a no vote pact.

Quote:
The Republican Caucus including all 43 senators have signed a “No Vote Pact” today. Under the “Pact” the senators refuse to vote on any legislation which does not deal with the budget or with continuing tax cuts started under the Bush Administration

Section 10 - Powers prohibited of States

and a state senator represents his state.
so for several state senators to enter into a pact , treaty or agreement to not perform the duties that they swore to perform when elected reduces the legislative branch to nothingness.

its like Republicans saying , sure we want to represent our state as long as our state is not bound by the U.S. Constitution.

by entering into a pact or treaty with other states they
have stuffed the U.S. Constitution under a rug.

Quote:
No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State

it is unconstitutional for Republicans to act as if they have more authority that the U.S. Constitution.

I would like to know if these Republicans have recieved the consent of congress to enact these agreements between the Republican states.

Article VI - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Article6

Quote:

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution

the way I see it is , you either get in there and vote for every thing either yea or nay or face the wrath of the Laws of this United States Constitution.
