Tabby's Star is the one with the weird light curves. A lot of little dips in brightness with an occasional huge dip. One possible, but extremely remote, possibility is intelligent beings in process of constructing a Dyson sphere. Right now there is still no really good explanation. Phil Plait in his Bad Astronomy blog discusses the current state of the research on the star. So Maybe Not Aliens, but How About Comets?

Another report on Tabby's Star. There was a report that the star had dimmed over the past 20 years. That would have been more in line with the aliens building a Dyson Sphere theory. However, a new study had looked at the sources of the data used by the authors of the dimming study. The new study says that they compared the dimming of Tabby's star with other stars in the same area. A lot of other stars also showed the dimming, so the result was most likely due to changes in the equipment used to determine the brightness of the stars.

We still don't know exactly what causes the fluctuating brightness, but it is unlikely to be alien activity.

The report is on Phys.Org New study supports natural causes, not alien activity, explain mystery star's behavior
