phys.org:Leap Motion targets May for pre-orders and store sales
This really looks interesting. There is a video in the article showing somebody interacting with a computer without ever touching it. It really looks like something that may be a whole new way to interface with the computer.

Its not that new. Linux enthusiasts have been using microsofts kinect interface to control computers for a while:

I realize that Kinect has been around for several years. And that it has been hacked for a lot of uses other than the original game playing role. According to the article the big difference is that this one uses a smaller space than Kinect. Kinect is basically for using a whole room for the interface. This one works in a smaller volume, and is apparently intended for use primarily with a personal computer. This one may also be a little bit cheaper.

Anyway you look at it the general idea may just be the wave of the future for computing.
