Hmmm, there's probably a good joke there somewhere about Florida residents and obesity...

Anything that can eat a 6-foot alligator has my immediate shock and awe. The worst part of it is that they are there because their owners let them go, abandoned them, because they were once pets. I can't imagine having a pet that is big enough to eat me, let alone being irresponsible enough to just turn it loose on the environment.

"Emmett, come quick, there's a great big snake in the front yard. Looks like it could swallow a man whole! Emmett! Gee, I swear he was in the front yard a few minutes ago..."

"Hello, 911? There's a huge snake in my front yard and I think it done ate my husband Emmett. I cain't find him anywhere..."

"Yes, Ma'am, we'll send the snake squad right away. Stay inside and keep your doors and windows closed tight."

"Another snake call?"

"Yeah, third one this month. Better check it out. Some lady's lost her husband this time. That makes six this year so far. These snakes are really getting out of hand."

wink wink wink

Great picture Amaranth.

Alligator's are edible, and according to some, taste good. The Iron Chef recomends carving first. No shashime whole alligator.
