*resveratrol* is a word that you may be hearing more often in the not too distant future...

obese mice that received megadoses of the extract, while still chubby on the outside are just plain healthy on the inside...and longer lived than expected too

will this translate to help for humanity

that remains to be seen

but there are a lot of excited researchers out there

this stuff is already available in stores but not in nearly the megadoses needed

the human equivalent of the extract would be ~= to what one would get from ~100 bottles/dose

now try that 3x a day...and don't call me in the morning :-)

Hey, thanks anyman. You've done it again. No wonder you posted it twice! As the man said:

"Hodes cautions that it's too early for people to start taking non-regulated resveratrol supplements because safety issues haven't been adequately addressed."

Therefore, even though you say "this stuff is already available in stores but not in nearly the megadoses needed" I'm going to play it safe and gradually expand my intake to 100 bottles a day.

Oh dear. In my initial enthusiasm I neglected to consider the possibility the wine industry funded the research.

i am generally skeptical of most news items i post (but hopeful :-)

i ususally say something like, "if this holds up" or somesuch...and i forgot to do that here

the article makes it clear however, that this may or may not work for humanity
