Selecting life: Scientists find new way to search for origin of life

Over the last half century, researchers have found that mineral surfaces may have played critical roles organizing, or activating, molecules that would become essential ingredients to all life?such as amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) and nucleic acids (the essence of DNA). But which of the countless possible combinations of biomolecules and mineral surfaces were key to this evolution? This vexing question has stumped scientists for years because...

Space radiation preferentially destroys specific forms of amino acids , the most realistic laboratory simulation to date has found. The work suggests the molecular building blocks that form the "left-handed" proteins used by life on Earth took shape in space, bolstering the case that they could have seeded life on other planets.
How did we get here? Another piece of the puzzle. Delicious;) ~
Nice.

No question about it. There are enough possible reason why levo-rotated amino acids are the ones used by life-forms to more than address the issue.

Now the questions is what contribution from each.
