you know how some people think , I would like to address this
before it is asked.

the reason that there are record high temperatures in texas is NOT because of all the fires in texas.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=95877&page=1

the fires are due to climatic changes that have caused texas to not get much rain for a long time.

trees and brush get dry and burn more readily that when they are damp.

And of course there will probably be more fires because the weather doesn't show any signs of giving rain. I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma and we are also in a drought situation. And we are being plagued with fires. We aren't nearly as bad as SW Oklahoma and West Texas, where they are in an extreme drought situation. So far here in NE Oklahoma this year we have had blizzards, record low temperatures, record high temperatures, and a bad drought. And we have had some dramatic weather changes. Last week we were having more record high temperatures over 100 degrees F (38 degrees C). This week we haven't gotten above the mid 80s and most of the week we barely got to 80 (28 degrees C). That is not what most people call "normal", except of course people who don't believe in climate changes.

I guess Texans might have to start adapting the way Indians have already adapted to long periods of no-rain and monsoon.

isnt it great though that the farmers and ranchers had all the nice corporate scientist and idiots that were telling them that global warming and thus climate change was not real.

as long as we keep voting the corporate funded republicans into office we wont have any worries , even when the air becomes un-breathable Im sure they will be glad to sell us some nice fresh air to breath.

There are record highs and record lows every year.

Fifty years ago, the ratio of record highs to record lows in the U.S. was about 1:1. This past decade it was 2:1. It's expected to get worse.

Obviously God is punishing Texas as a den of liberalism, but if Perry continues to lead prayers, God will surely change the physical properties of CO2 for the faithful in the Lone star state.

2:1 thats a big ratio change.

texas has been gettin pretty hot lately , do you think somebody messed up and that is what allowed a few showers to breach the international borders of the great nation of texas recently.

Im wondering what would it be like now if texas did secede
from the union , we sure would have less emergency funds to pay out.

maybe we should request that they re apply for secession

I dont think they were really serious about it though , it was just something that drew attention , like a fad.

and I dont believe that God is punnishing texas , maybe hes showing texas what it means to belong to a country so that texans wont act as if they can foot all the bills themselves.

I know alot of the cattlemen have had to sell their cattle because its better than letting them die from lack of water.

it must be really hard on them especially when theres so much water along there coast line.

if they only had a source of cheaper energy to de-salinate salt water with.

What happened to all that free oil they used to have sloshing around in their sea? It could power the odd desalination plant or two.
