bioplastics could become the replacement of plastics made from petrochemical processes.

the production of 1 tonne polyethylene using sugar cane
ethanol (((captures))) 2.5 tonnes of CO2 which improves our atmosphere.

the production of 1 tonne polyethylene using the traditional petrochemical route (((releases))) 3.5 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere which damages our atmosphere.

so using bioplastics vs petrolplastics removes apx 6 tonnes of atmospheric CO2 per tonne produced.

you can make bio plastics at home.

using milk and vinegar.
or
water , cornstarch , vinegar , glycerine

etc etc etc.

do a google video search for "make bioplastics"

sounds like a good course of study.

I can't watch that video, but aren't most bioplastics biodegradable?

That's great for supermarket bags, but I don't want my car to biodegrade!!
