Could someone explain in laymen terms what the phase of an electromagnetic wave is?....


Im here to get some thoughts out and to hear others.I guess you could say im just a curious person!

Phase is relative shift of wave with respect to arbitrary origin - usually the moment, when wave goes through zero.
