The news item on this website in re to indium nitride solar cells as being possibly 50% efficient: does anyone here know about "power chips"<powerchips.gi>? This is a nano-tech chip about 20nm thick and is basically a Josephson Junction whereby hot electrons tunnel thru but cold electrons are kept back, thus setting up an electric circuit. It is being marketed out of Gibraltar Island and is claimed to be 70% efficient in turning heat into DC current whereas standard Peltier devices are about 7% efficient. Top operating temp about 800 deg F. One early use proposed is reclaiming heat from the tail pipe/muffler/radiator of a car and using the DC for a motor-assist<hybrid>. Another would be solar cell heat to DC production. How do these 2 developments compare to each other?

"possibly 50% efficient." Controlled nuclear fusion is only 10 years away. It's been 10 years away since the 1960s. Nuclear power will be too cheap to bill. We can run the world by burning dried algae, deep fat fryer waste, or teenage boy face grease.

70% efficient at turning heat into electricity? As long as thermodynamics has nothing to do with it, sure, run a supercon Josephson junction at 800 C.

THEY ARE LYING TO YOU.

teenage boy face grease : now there's a novel new hydrocarbon fuel. I can see it now, huge farms/plantations to raise fat boys for their face grease. Yes, controlled thermonuclear fusion has been 50 years in the future, and always will be, although in the latest federal budget giveaway to HF they PROMISED only 35 years away. Sort of sounds like the old pie-in-the-sky socialism PROMISES of the former Soviet Union...that the russian people got sick and tired of hearing in 1989.. As to powerchips.gi you'll have to go look at it on the web before passing judgement. Yes, they CLAIM 70% heat to DC electric efficiency, and 50% in the cooling chip, but then how much do YOU know about Josephson Junction QM tunneling? It will all come out in the wash when they actually get into hybrid car development<electric motor assist on drive shaft>by wrapping these chips around the tail pipe/muffler/radiator, that will be where the "powerchips-rubber meets the road".

Yes ,Borealis had a thermonic car patent, they also just closed a deal with boeing to use their Chorus Motor technology to drive aircraft on the ground. They get 300% more torque by over coming harmonic drag.

Also, a Recent speech by Rodney Cox : http://www.borealis.gi/press/NEW-GOLDEN-AGE-IBM.Speech.6=04.pdf is very inspiring. The big line of the speech is about power being to cheap to meter.

Ah good, at least someone here is up to speed on these advanced new energy developments. If you all out there had subscribed to Infinite Energy Magazine for the past several years you would know WORLD'S full of incredible info at the cutting edge of science, things that the big oil-controlled media would NEVER tell you about. Sadly, our beloved editor, Eugene Mallove, was assassinated by big oil operatives last may in CT. Erich, I tried that link but my computer froze up, probably more big oil dirty tricks...
