I shouldn?t really be here, ?coz although I?m interested, my scientific knowledge is near zilch. But as a lurker, who is being greatly entertained by the substitution quiz, I thought I?d offer a couple of sites I?ve been working from.

But the code doesn?t seem to be uniform, and even working out two of the names on the male list, hasn?t helped the rest fall into place. I?m not clever enough to work out if there?s a mathematical equation at work ? but maybe one of you will :-)
