A mile deep hidden rift valley has been discovered in Antartica
It is covered by snow, and is causing Scientists some concern as this area is melting faster than others...and causing Sea levels to rise.

When any surface melting of the ice sheets happens anywhere, the water that does not refreeze on the surface runs down to the bottom because of gravity and there it sits acting as a lubricant causing the entire ice structure to move across the land faster, thus getting into the water faster and causing a higher sea level sooner.
I think this factor while really simple may become one of the worst problems.
