Thurdsay 30th,Dec:2010 (Today)

New leaked diplomatic cables set to be published by Wikileaks will contain fresh details on UFOs, according to the website's Australian founder, Julian Assange.

He did not disclose what information was contained in the diplomatic memos obtained by the whistleblowing website. It also remains unclear when they will be published.

Mr Assange said his website, under considerable strain in recent days over its "Cablegate" series of leaks, received emails from “weirdos” claiming to have seen UFOs.
“It is worth noting that in yet-to-be-published parts of the cablegate archive there are indeed references to UFOs.”
In fact last year, there were almost 400 reported sightings to the Ministry of Defence of UFOs throughout Britain – a figure that had tripled from the previous year.
That the so-called "X Files" reported to the MoD's UFO desk, which has since been closed, was the busiest year on record.
Some websites later speculated that the cables could offer answers to claims from US military pilots that aliens have landed, infiltrated British nuclear missile sites and deactivated the weapons.

“However, Mr Assange stated that nothing is published on his WikiLeak Website unless it satisfies three of our publishing rules. 1) that the documents not be self-authored; 2) that they be original, 3) that they have come from a Goverment Dept:

His friends have stated that his Website cannot be closed down or stopped, since there are thousands of documents yet to be released, that are all encrypted, and in the hands of hundreds of different persons.
Further-more the Australian Goverment has stated that it will protect Mr Assange from extradition or other penalties, in the same way as it would support any Australian citizen.

If there are aliens out there who are capable of doing this, and who, presumably, do it for our benefit, I find myself wondering why they don't just make themselves known, and give us the benefit of their superior knowledge.

Not the UFO Release..But an Update on WIKILEAKS
**************************************************

WikiLeaks claims the US government has requested personal information from the Twitter accounts of four of its supporters. Source: Herald Sun

THE US government has requested personal information from the Twitter accounts of four WikiLeaks supporters as part of a widening criminal probe, the whistle-blower website says.
The US Department of Justice has been pursuing a criminal investigation into the website's leak of hundreds of thousands of secret US frontline military reports and diplomatic cables.

WikiLeaks said in a statement it suspected similar requests had been sent to Google and Facebook, and that they may have quietly complied with the requests without notifying members.
A Justice Department spokeswoman declined to comment on the matter.

A spokesman for Facebook, Andrew Noyes, also said "we have no comment at this time". According to documents first published by Salon.com and obtained by Agence
France-Presse, a US lawyer in Virginia last month requested private messages, contact information and credit card numbers for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, Bradley Manning - the US soldier suspected of leaking the documents - and two other WikiLeaker backers.

The order was confidential, but the judge unsealed it on Wednesday, apparently to allow Twitter, a popular micro-blogging website, to notify the users and give them a chance to launch a legal appeal.

WikiLeaks said the information request, which covers all information from November 1, 2009 to the present, was made at the behest of the US State Department, which was
furious over the ongoing release of thousands of secret diplomatic cables.

Icelandic parliamentarian and WikiLeaks supporter Birgitta Jonsdottir, one of the individuals named in the subpoena, said she received an email from Twitter two days after the documents were unsealed informing her of the request.
"Please be advised that Twitter will respond to this request in 10 days from the date of this notice unless we receive notice from you that a motion to quash the legal process has been filed or that this matter has been otherwise resolved," it said.

"(Twitter) actually fought this on behalf of their customers because this sort of information should really not be handed over, in particular because there is no criminal case here," Jonsdottir said on Saturday.
Jonsdottir said she contacted the Icelandic justice minister, who was looking into the matter, and said she wanted to meet with the US ambassador in Iceland to complain.
"I am speaking to US lawyers... because I want to try to stop the need for Twitter to hand over this information, on principle," she said.
Iceland's government also blasted the US request to Twitter, with Foreign Minister Oessur Skarphedinsson saying he would summon the US ambassador in Reykjavik to discuss the matter with him.

"According to the documents that I have seen, an Icelandic parliamentarian is being investigated in a criminal case in the United States for no reason at all," he told Icelandic public radio RUV.
"It is intolerable that an elected representative is being treated like that," he told RUV.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is on bail in Britain facing extradition proceedings to Sweden on charges of sexual assault, also expressed outrage, accusing the US government of "intruding into the private lives" of WikiLeaks supporters.

However, legal analysts pointed out that such requests are normal in criminal investigations and similar subpoenas are often issued for phone records and even bank statements.

"This is really just basic law-enforcement procedure," CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who also writes for the New Yorker magazine, told the channel.

"I think people engaged in social media have less right to complain than people who have bank records. I think all of us assume that bank records are supposed to be private. And they are except when the government has a reason to get them.
"Social media is at its core about putting information out in the social world. If you don't want people to know what you are thinking, don't tweet it," he added.

WikiLeaks said, however, it was in contact with US lawyers and urged Twitter to protect its users' private information.
It stressed that other than Assange, the three people whose accounts had been subpoenaed had never worked for the site.

In November, WikiLeaks began slowly releasing 251,287 US diplomatic cables, which prompted calls from US lawmakers for legal action, and the following month credit card giants Visa and Mastercard stopped facilitating donations to the website.

However the diplomatic leaks still continue.

Supporters of the Army private suspected in one of the biggest security breaches in U.S. history say WikiLeaks has fulfilled its pledge to aid in his defence by contributing $15,100.

The Bradley Manning Support Network announced the gift Thursday.

Jeff Paterson of the affiliated group Courage to Resist, says the contribution brings the total raised for Pfc. Manning's defence to more than $100,000, but that a lot more is still needed.
Manning is being held in maximum security at a Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia.
He is awaiting a possible trial on military charges that he illegally obtained more than 200,000 State Department cables and gave classified material to an unauthorized person.

A cable leaked by WikiLeaks claims Israeli officials at the Karni crossing into Gaza took bribes from US companies trying to transfer goods into the Strip.
The cable was compiled from sources in both the US Embassy in Tel Aviv, and the Jerusalem Consulate General. It says that American goods worth $1.9 million waited at the Karni crossing for over three months before being permitted into Gaza.
The goods had been produced by companies such as Coca-Cola, Caterpillar, Phillip Morris, Hewlett Packard, and Motorola.
The businessmen cited in the cable said they were forced to pay commission 75 times larger than normally paid at the crossing. One businessman accused both the crossing's management and middlemen companies handling logistics of corruption.

Recently published Wikileaks documents expose the failure of President Obama's counter-terrorism policy.
While reaffirming a 1,400 years old Muslim track record, the documents refute Obama's fundamental assumptions, which have shaped his counter-terrorism policy.
That the Palestinian issue is a root cause of Middle East turbulence and anti-Western terrorism. That Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are allies of the US.
But that there is no Islamic terrorism, since Islam promotes peace and not terrorism.
That there is no Jihadist terrorism, since Jihad is a process which purifies the soul.
That there is no global terrorism, since Islamic terrorists represent a Muslim minority which rejects modernity, and that Islam has always been part of the American story.

This is pretty tame. Prehaps there is more to come at a future date?
A photo of a UFO taken with a group of soldiers maybe 50 ft away? I would have expected much clearer
and better. Cant help believing this is a posed fake, by a group of bored soldiers.

"The Swiss Banker is in prison because he has revealed a criminal offshore system of tax evasion in which Swiss banks play a leading role," Assange was quoted as saying in an interview.
"Instead of investigating themselves, these offshore structures, and going after the tax evaders, the authorities are going after Mr. Elmer," he said.

Mr Assange also said,
"Switzerland is putting itself into the spotlight with its actions."

Assange said Switzerland was not the only country involved in the offshore banking structures that were depriving tax authorities worldwide of some $22 billion.

Prehaps now is the time to ask ...Whether Julian Assange and his WikiLeaks are another aspect of the 'freedom of speech' for the common good?
Or best left unleaked and untold?

Did I write the above??
I dont think I meant to say UNLEAKED and UNTOLD.
I fervently believe in 'Freedom of Speech'
So I believe Julian Assange is doing a good job.
Of course therte are a few countrys who wish he were to go away, fade away to be exact.

He spoke from the window of the Embassy he is staying in- to the hundreds of his supporters.
Apparently he has been working for the last years very hard and will nbe releasing thousands more Wiki-leaks over 2013,
covering every country in the world.
Thousands of his supporters have been sending files to his "Wiki-Leaks Speech Freedom Data Base".
