Iceland is melting as you already know , it seems as if
we now have the opportunity to observe the effects of sudden depresurization under Iceland.

I wonder what the effects will be as the glacier melts
will Iceland heave upwards cracking the country into 2 pieces or just heave upwards , will it explode in a caldera
type scenario.

its venting extremely well at present so I doubt a caldera is in the making.

but will there be explosive volcanic actions when it cracks in half , under the ocean where this type of volcanic action normaly takes place there is a resistive
pressure of all of the water atop the explosions that dampen the explosion but on Iceland there is no such
resistance.

it will be interesting to see what happens but I wouldnt want to be there right now.

I also wouldnt want to be around chinas mountain ranges.

I think Iceland is our early warning system that is sounding off , letting us know that we dont have long.
