"Wildlife biologists believe that black-footed ferrets released into the wilds of Colorado are thriving ? and breeding ? as the state tries to build a self-sustaining population of the mammal considered to be the rarest in North America."

An example of conservation laws resuscitating a species once thought extinct.

Predators keep the balance. Will the ferret survive in North America, or will it become extinct?

Kate,
Can we kill this extra-wide business? It's really
annoying to have to scroll back and forth to read
posts. More than a screen-width is a waste.

It's the URL I'm afraid. Not much we can do from this end...

Rachel Carson's Enviro-whiner screed Silent Spring was published in 1962. It featured a substantial list of "endangered species."

43 years have passed. Name one "endangered species" that went extinct. Name one "endangered species" that isn't still "endangered." Give generously to save our planet - and have it ripped out of your hide by government fiat whether you do or do not.
