well we need to move the millitary out of texas and blockade it's coast.
cut off all federal aid to texas.
everything.
perry rejected the stimulus , 500 million.
but the texans will still have to pay their share.
this secession talk isnt just in texas btw.
it reaches from Alaska all the way to texas.
want a new civil war?

how many of these new secession candidates have served a single day in the military?

yet they influence their Republican followers to partake in another bloody civil war.

nip it in the bud before it blooms.

he seems to have browsed through the U.S. Constitution and found in the Bill Of Rights section of the Constitution
in the Admendments to the Constitution in Admendment 10 where it states the following

http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Am10

Quote:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

_____________

above notice the three words "powers NOT delegated"

Section 8 the powers of congress of the U.S. Constitution reads as follows.
_____________

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
______________

thats what you get when you just read a few pages of a book.

this was written by our founding forefathers who knew that taxes were needed to run the country.
they knew that hard times befall people.
they knew that certain programs institutionalized by the Government would be needed in hard times.
they knew that health care would be needed.

thats why the above states "and general Welfare of the United States"

Nothing that President Obama is doing or has done so far is un constitutional

can the people of the U.S. fire a state governor?

I read the comments below the video and it seems that most Texans are ashamed of him.

and we shouldnt judge all texans by his actions or beliefs.

but if he does decide to secede texas , maybe you should secede from him instead.

in the perry video there were mentions concerning the size of the state and its population , and how well its citizens can handle its own affairs without the assistance of the Federal Government.

pointing to the U.S. constitution specifically admendment 10
and referencing without direct reference the following admendments in the following years.

and that admendment after admendment has slowly taken away the freedoms of the states.

I just happened to find another reference to the wisdom of our forefathers in admendment 16 and thought I would include this for the viewers.

Quote:
AMENDMENT XVI
Passed by Congress July 2, 1909. Ratified February 3, 1913.

Note: Article I, section 9, of the Constitution was modified by amendment 16.

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

which provides no exemption of any state due to its size in population , be it large or small.

passed by congress in 1909

Texas recieved , and accepted more federal disaster funds than any other state.

size matters when disaster funds are in play , dont it.

Im talking about
States Rights !
States Rights !
States Rights !

the cost of the un needed assistance that he applied for.

FEMA alone gave Texas apx multi billions of dollars in relief funds

I want to be clear. I'm not saying Texas and its hurricane-weary citizens don't deserve this money. They do. I'm glad the federal government is able to step in and help states recover from natural disasters when local authorities are overwhelmed. But it's galling that Governor Perry, who reportedly has an eye on a presidential run, ginned up the GOP base by talking of splitting from the "oppressive" Obama administration (his words) when he knows full well that the federal government has bailed out his state repeatedly, and probably will do so again.

the 500 million might have been to small of an amount , he might be holding out for more ... you know how Republicans think.
