THE SCANNER is an ambitious short film with lots of special effects, strong visuals and a cool electro music score. It tells the story of an alien who uses a device to scan an area in search of a hidden craft that will take him home.

I thought this scanner short film is an excerpt of that old Jack Nicholson film of the same title. It looks more like an MTV video for that background music. Well, it's got effect alright, although the only effects I was impressed with is the disappearing effect of the man as he walked under that contraption.
