is just above that of saudi arabia.

on the other hand the total land area of the antartic is a whopping
14,000,000.00 sq miles
and is the second largest land area in the world with Russia
being the largest.
that is a lot of ice to melt !!!!!

if the antartic had only
2000 meter thick ice did you know that if only 14 meters of ice melts from the antartic of the 2000 meters of ice then it would be enought to add apx 1 meter of sea level rise....
14million sq miles X 14 (antartics) = 197 million sq miles
so if 14 meters of ice melts from the antartic then that is enought to cover the earths surface area apx 1 meter in height.
actually only 13 antartics would do the trick , because there would still be 1976 meters of ice above sea level on the antartic , so we wouldnt count the area of the antartic just yet.
well 2000 meters / 14 meters = 142 meters
the antartic alone could flood the earth from present sea levels to around 465 ft in height above what they are today.
and the antartic ice ranges from 2100 meters to 4500 meters in height.
I believe that when every drop of the earths melting ice is accounted for it would be safe to estimate a apx 500 - 600 ft rise , due to the slowing of the rotation of the earth
which will lower the buldge of the oceans and in itself cause even further sea level rise.
