FYI

Bush Slams Climate Bill ... it would cost Americans 6 trillion by 2050 !!!!

2050
-2008
______

= 42 years at 142 billion a year = 6 trillion

heres a way the government could save loads of money and practically eliminate pollution in the U.S.
and boost the economy , remove our dependance on foreign oil
and , save apx 4.8 trillion dollars at the same time !!!

Overall, there were an estimated 247,421,120 registered passenger vehicles in the United States according to a 2005 DOT study.
LINK

if the government were to purchase 247,421,120 of the
Genepax automobiles at 5,000 each for a price tag of 1.2 trillion and hand them out free to anyone who wants one as long as supplies last , this would actually reduce pollutions.

see things arent all that technical unless you want them to be.

if they really wanted to spend the entire 6 trillion
then they could throw in a home power generator
per each homeowner in the U.S.

lets just say that would cost around 2 trillion because the home power system couldnt cost more than the car.

which leaves us about 2.8 trillion to pass around.

give us each around 14,000 to spend on whatever we wanted to spend it on , now that would boost the economy , not to mention the fact that no one would have a car payment to make , no gasoline to buy , no electric bill to pay , everyone would be spending money like crazy on things they always wanted.

just thinking about how much they are willing to earmark
to reduce pollution , made me wonder what could actually
be done to reduce pollution with that much money , if they actually wanted to do something.

I wonder who would get the 6 trillion otherwise?
and what it would be spent on?
that seems like alot of money just to reduce pollution.

Hiya Paul,
I caught some of the hearings where they debated the "climate bill;" both the debates and some of the 6 + hours of the when the Repub's forced the Dems to read the entire Boxer amendment. I thought the Republicans usually seemed more knowledgeable and had more logical points about the economy, but they seemed to miss the point about long-term considerations. Larry Craig, notable restroom enthusiast, had the best points overall, mostly about forestry and agriculture, and soil sequestration. Inhofe made lots of sense, but then spoiled it by saying an acre of oil-shale was 500,000 times better for the environment than and acre of corn. I followed his logic (water usage/barrel of oil), but I think he needs to consider parameters other than just water.

A lot of the money was destined to foster alternative energy and sequestration technology, and compensate those hurt by "cap and trade." More was set aside to rebate to consumers of energy (low-income subsidies and tax rebates). I don't recall if revamping our infrastructure was included with this; but it should be, as concrete is a major contributor to CO2 emissions.

I like your money logic. I think you could pay every third-world person $1000 per year to soil-sequester carbon and it'd still be cheaper than the government plan (but maybe $100 per year/person would be less disruptive).

Hey....
...if we had home/work power plants, we could just charge up simple electric cars.
...maybe....

the Genepax would be a great thing to happen for everyone , sad thing is that the U.S. wouldnt allow it to be imported because it would be a threat to the taxes they get from gas sales.

the 247 million passenger cars X .48 cents per gallon taxes
= 123 million for 1 gallon of gas each.

if you think about putting in 10 gallons per car per week thats
1.2 billion per week in taxes just for gasoline.

unless Genepax would be willing to build several automobile manufacturing plants here in the U.S. and hire Americans to help to offset any negative income that would directly influence our ability to fund our many government branches / agencies.

thats a hint , by the way.

heres why I think that this might happen , We Americans buy most of our products from China , Japan , Mexico etc...

When we Americans experience a bad economy then We dont buy as much.

If the bad economy is mainly because of fuel prices and China , Japan , Mexico etc.. wants to sell us more stuff then they are going to have to find a way to put more money in our pockets to spend.

as it stands we are barely putting food on our tables , we are loosing 75 million houses to the banks every 2-3 months and flippin hamburgers dont pay 2,000 dollar mortgage bills.

if they are going to grow then we must grow.

its that simple.

they dont have oil they have actual products that they manufacture they cannot reduce the prices of something they have no control over.

listen the true hoax here is that this "bill" that are the taxes americans pay is actually a payment on the us bankruptcy of 1933! the federal treasury is actually owned by a private group that has nothing less then the destruction of the american way.

Thats sounds like terrorism , and it sounds like a threat to our
nations security.

you will notice that oil prices will drop now that the public
has learned of the Genepax and its ability to control the price of oil, the oil investors who were raising the oil prices will not want to risk their investment capitol on a dying energy resource.

they will reduce the price of oil , they will reduce the oil prices only because they are afraid that the Genepax will destroy future oil demand , alot can happen in the futures market and especially when investors see something like the Genepax technology.

Mike

The Climate is also becoming bizzare!

If you watch the oil prices , they will drop.

they have already started to drop , and they claim it is to help us...

they dropped the prices by raising the supply side of supply and demand.

this does not mean that we should sell our newly aqquired gas saving auto's and buy that huge 4X4 we've been wanting to get as soon as gas prices go down.

the immediate reason might be that politicians are leaning towards drilling our own oil , which would be a smart thing to do since the Genepax auto's and home generators would not only remove our dependency on foreign oil and remove foreign oil's ability to shut us down...it would remove the value of our oil.

We have noticed that they could basicaly shut us down or at least slow our economy , and from a security standpoint that is not a good thing , the Genepax home generators would even remove the ability of a terrorist attack on a power generating facility as each home and buisness could supply their own power.
