In Science Fiction we often think of the plasma cannon as a weapon, but is it feasible to make like a fire hydrant where it could be used to push things around?

by my understanding a plasma cannon shoots plasma: superheated ionized gas, i don't understand how plasma could push something around; could you elaborate?

Well, plasma is the fourth state of matter where it is not a solid, it is not a gas, and it is not a liquid, and it has its own characteristics. Plasma is a charged gas so that some of its electrons break free from their nucleus, and well I think that I am answering my own question here, because I see from a site that Plasma’s density can be increased by freeing more electrons, so now the question is not whether it can be done, and is now whether or not it would be worth it.
