This is completely beside the issue. People "liking science" and "wanting to be informed" is irrelevant. There's not a couch potato in the world who wouldn't like a billion dollars - if it just dropped in his lap. That's what people want from science - they want it to be easy. They want it predigested. And they want it to agree with their preconceptions.
