..and keeping pollution down.
The German shipping group "Beluga Group" Have fitted out the worlds first cargoe ship with a 160 sq Meter Para Kite.

Its sailing across the Atlantic to Venezuela.
Its huge Para Glider Kite flys at 300meters high, and saves $1600 per day in fuel costs.
The company have ordered two more larger ships from China, each will be equipped with an even larger sail, the size of a football field.
Thats real progress since it cuts engine pollution by about 1/4
Just like the sailing Clippers of the 1840's
Here is the blurb:-

Neat job, way to go. Wind power could hold the future for everyone. At college by using wind power and standing on a sailboards four of us crossed the wash in East Anglia
That was more than twenty miles.

Thanks

Hi Paul, Seems like the link has a problem?
The ONLY way I got the Video to play was to reboot my computer
then http://www.tradewinds.no/webtv/

Let the existing video picture, run for a few seconds. and then click on the tiny pic below 'We are sailing'
It then runs, or(maybe its my computer)

but the url to this video is
http://www.tradewinds.no/webtv/?id=462

you are leaving off the --> ?id=462
