Hi All,

Just about the time when think you've reached the last maximum, something pops up.

The boys and girls at Stanford's Linear Accelerator Center and collabotrators have figured out how to get more energy into the beam.

The full story can be found hre:

http://home.slac.stanford.edu/pressreleases/2007/20070214-2.htm

Today's Nature also has an article related to this.

The trick is so simple but so very unexpected! Well, check it out, you will see what I mean.

Not so much opening a new door as knocking down a wall ... beautiful.
