Revelation Chapter 11,verse 18 says that God is going "to bring to ruin those ruining the earth."

Psalms Chapter 37, verses 9 through 11 says that "For evildoers themselves will be cut off, but those hoping in God are the ones that will possess the earth. And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."

Matthew Chapter 5, verse 5 Jesus quoted the scripture in Psalms saying, "Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth."

Psalms Chapter 104, verse 5 says of the earth."He (God) has founded the earth upon its established places; It will not be made to totter to time indefinite or forever."

Isaiah Chapter 45, verse 18 says what God's purpose is for the earth."... God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who DID NOT CREATE IT SIMPLY FOR NOTHING, WHO FORMED IT EVEN TO BE INHABITED..."

These and many, many more Bible verses give us all HOPE for our future and the earth's future. Jesus said in the Lord's Prayer at Matthew Chapter 6, verse 10 that all of this will be accomplished through God's government, God's Kingdom. When we say that prayer we are asking God's Kingdom to come to make the earth like heaven. It will soon do that. Thanks to our Creator.

Good quote. The Christian Bible also says we should stone adulterers to death. If you are a true believer ... you cast the first stone.

Lets hope when he brings ruin he starts with the hypocrites.

The invisible purple rhinoceros tells me that mankind is ruining the earth and he hasn't played with the levers of power in millenia.

It must be very comforting for those who believe their God is going to come along and, like their parents used to do, clean up any mess they make.

Why is it no one ever contrasts the difference in implications of the differing philosophies when they post their biblical quotations.

An atheist, by a lack of faith in some other-worldly redemption accept personal responsibility for their actions. If they screwed up they screwed up and the only appeal is to their peers.

The believers of some forgiving entity state that they don't have to be responsible for their actions as they will ultimately be forgiven any sin.

The contrast couldn't be more plain.
