Dark matter candidates

Carroll on what it all means.

90-95% of the total mass of a spiral galaxy must be a spherical halo of "dark matter" to stablize its visible structure over time. Bear in mind that this is strictly curve fitting. There is zero experimental detection of dark matter candidates despite a wealth of continuing enthusiastic efforts.

Then, of course, we have "dark energy" pushing the other way. Nobody has any strong grasp of what is really going on in the real world.

Dear Noreese,

The Theoretical Physicists have no idea. They calculate how much mass there has to be to confirm their "theories". To be "right" there has to be 90-95% more mass so they concoct the theory of "dark mass". They do not know yet what mass is! That is physical science nowadays.

Theoretical Physics is hardly a science anymore. It is dogmatic like a religion. QM and RT are declared the absolute truth. Everything pointing in an other direction is ignored and by definition a paradox.

When we grow up we do not believe in fairytales anymore but the biggest fairytale of all; parallel worlds, relativity of time and space, not 3 but 11 dimensions, membranes etc. we have to believe or otherwise we are idiots!

Just do not believe scientists anymore because that is a waste of time.

Not exactly zero, see here.

It's about 0.3 GeV per cubic centimeter.
