Soilguy was good enough to post John Baez's crackpot index in the Not Quite section which reminded me that we really do need, here in the Physics Forum, a link to John's Physics FAQ.

So here is the link:
http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/

Scroll to the bottom half of the page for some of the best links you'll find.

Good Morning DA,

What a great idea. With any luck at all this will help to keep everyone on the same page and avoid rampant sillyness.

That is truly the point. If everyone can access the FAQ ... then everyone has something against which to test ideas from the lunatic fringe.

Hi All,

I stumbled across this site:

http://muweb.millersville.edu/%7Ephysics/exp.of.the.month/past.html

It is the MU physics experiment of the month. Some of these are choice while others are the sort of thing that folks ask about all the time. For example, "Running in the Rain"

Instead of rehashing these things over and over again refer the curious here.

Wonderful.

Perhaps the new forum software will allow us to somehow create a long-standing list of FAQs.
