New experimental research shows that half-matter, half-light quasi-particles called polaritons show compelling evidence of Bose-Einstein condensation at the relatively high temperature of 19 degrees Kelvin. The creation of a polariton Bose-Einstein condensate in the solid state provides scientists with a unique opportunity to better understand and possibly exploit the quantum effects that occur in these very special conditions.

It is the same argument for superconductors. Going from atoms to excitations increases the Bose-Einstein condensation temp from microkelvins to 19 kelvins. Going from phonons to excitons for Copper pairing increases supercon critical temp from 23K to 23,000 K. 300 K, room temp, then doesn't unreasonable at all.

It is important that nobody ever synthesize examples of William Little's decorated polyacetylene excitonic superconductors because... UNKNOWN HAZARDS!
