Heat and electricity seem part of the spectrum of qi. It is why hot will go to cold and vice versa, and not something else. Energy expresses itself according to qi balance.

Please seek competent psychotherapeutic support.

The name of this site is SCIENCEagogo ... not one sentence you have posted is close enough to on-topic to see it with a telescope.

Reluctantly I must agree.

Who would have ever thought that crap would be saved by someon elegantly calling it crap.

Re Kilik

Thank goodness the above member is not star rated

**************************************
Why threaten Uncle Al? I dont blame him. His tirades are his expression of others stupidness. Besides, they contain a certain amount of wry humour. His loss, would be Scienceagogo's loss.
New 'outside' readers, might wonder about our strange rated star system. They certainly find it strange that Uncle Al, who really does write genuine Science, only has 2 stars. Even with the present system, Uncle Al should merit at least a four star total.

Simplify your star system
Delete a star everytime someone deliberately writes drivel.
This will enable the outside World to reflect and understand, how this operates, within the Science Forum.
One can read elsewhere, whether members are new or old. Your using the star system to show this/or the number of postings......dos'nt mean a thing to outsiders.
Add the occasional star if you feel its right. Even completely rehash the star system. Moderators get ten, others get a max of 8.
Come on you two Moderators, moderate.
You'd give Prof Hawkins top star billing, if he wrote here, wouldnt you?
No well known University Prof:, would ever be encouraged to write, knowing he would get a two star starter.
You know how sensitive eggheads can be.
Upgrade Scienceagogo, you asked for our ideas when the Forum style changed. Its simple easy and will make more sense to outside World readers.
Your Company has expanded, move with the times. Will you do it? or say why not.

hey kilik, stop doing this to science forums. im a member of www.nakedscientist.com and you did this there to. your enthusiasim is wonderful, but i think it would be a better idea to make a geocity with all the links you could want on on, and just post a link to that site, along with your opinions on qi research and any questions or arguments you would like to make. Pretty please. With cherries.

Ahem. Kilik. The stars are there because other members voted for those members and that's what they thought of the poster. If you think Uncle Al should have five stars, go click on the appropriate links and vote him five stars and watch what happens. Anyone can vote once for any other member. Have at it, folks, the polls are open and uninhibited.

Heu, Kilik, where can i learn to emit "infrasonic" waves. Would come in real handy working on my thesis on ultrasonic measurement.

Hmm. Amazing how open minded you guys are. This reminds me of debates with skeptics I have had in other forums. I, personally, am sure that there is something to Ki and internal energy.

It is worth noting that a few years ago in a discussion with a medical doctor running a website on medical quackery, he singled out acupuncture as one medical technique which appeared to work, even though his site was devoted to debunking medical quackery.

Another discussion I had was on Ninja invisibility techniques. Skeptics, of course, dismiss all such things as bunk.

This is quite amusing. Modern studies in electroreception prove the possibility of martial arts related ESP.

Skeptics reject this while at the same time using electroreception to debunk ghost stories.
http://www.biologydaily.com/biology/Electroreception
http://skepdic.com/comments/ghostcom.html

You really can't have it both ways. If the human brain and nervous system are sufficiently sensitive to electromagnetism to feel a ghostly presence when exposed to piezoelectric currents caused by the compression of crystals in old granite buildings (Claim made by skeptic debunking ghost stories in old granite buildings in a program on the history channel) then it is more than sensitive enough to have various forms of 'ESP' based on feeling the electromagnetic fields of other people.

Again, this forum seems to be a century or two behind the times in modern scientific developments.

Now this is not exactly Ki, but it does produce a lot of Ki like effects.

Another note. A large number of the articles Kilik cited were published by highly reputable organizations like Harvard. As I noted, acupuncture is being accepted by medical authorities as working on the basis of empirical evidence.

It has been apparent for some years now that organizations like Csicop and other skeptics organizations have become religious cults worshipping their demigod hero the magician whats his name who made a career of debunking psychics.

Science is not a religious cult. Scientific theory changes as new evidence is introduced. The skeptic organizations have not kept up with modern scientific developments and much of what they believe is science is really ancient superstition no more science than the Old Testament.

Kilik really did not deserve the treatment he received in this forum. Possibly I cannot hope for better, but I am bored with playing video games and some intellectual scuffling might be a welcome change.

Another area in which the human sensitivity to electromagnetism is being used to debunk popular myths is UFOs. Lots of UFO sightings seem to happen around major faults. Again the explanation is electromagnetic flux generated by geological events effecting the brains of people causing them to hallucinate as though they had taken LSD.

I tend to accept these explanations, but again the corollary is that a sixth sense, certain ESP like phenomena as people sense the electromagnetic fields of other people around them become entirely plausible.

Further on this topic is the following speculation I proposed as a mind experiment.

It is quite amusing.
