As Christians face the serious implications posed by the ushering in of the space age and the UFO problem, they should not lose sight of the fact that the foundational truths of the Bible have always triumphed in the face of new knowledge. Christians and adherents of all faiths should come to this realization: Increased knowledge of the universe, coupled with a possible contact with intelligent extraterrestrial beings, may well enrich man's understanding of his particular place and purpose in the universe as related to God and His unfathomable creation.

Science in Christian Perspective - UFOs - Food for Thought by Raymond E. Fowler

To me that is an interesting link.

You should take note that Fowler has been and is a najor advocate of UFO's. I have read some of his books. My view is simply that the name of the objects and the discussion of same is incorrect. We can all beleive that people see things that they can not identify. The lack of an identity does not transalte into an object from space.

I have no doubt at all that the three major inner planets, Mars, Earth and Venus, in that order, were inhabitated at one time. There is not even a squeaky possibility that it will be proven in my life time. Not all news is welcome.

I think his main contention is that other intellectual life that is extraterrestrial in origin that people may witness with UFO's (unidintified flying objects or alien craft) is another aspect of God's creation since God created everything in the Universe.
It's easily conceivable that plant and animal life could exist on other inhabitable planets since the Universe is so vast with many galaxies so intellectual life, more advanced civilizations then our own could also exist. Perhaps have a better way to travel the cosmos since their understanding of physics and space travel is far better.

OK TSR:

In part you say "another aspect of God's creation since God created everything in the Universe."

If that is your major premise then all things are possible. I believe there is most likely life all over the place in the Galaxies. My view does not require s God to make sense of the prospect.
Cheers, jjw
