I thought of this when I saw a female gorilla on a documentary the other day. Why do human females have such big breasts compared to their close cousins (primates)? The answer I came up with is the clothes they wear. OR, the way humans stand totally upright. Also, I think the reason humans have almost no body hair is also a result of the invention of clothing. My real question is, will humans one day become so dependant on their clothes and the enviroment they have created to live in (cities and towns) that they would not be able to survive AT ALL in the wild in their natural bodies?

Look at the equipment paraded by bonobos. Societies in which sex is the coin of the realm have enhanced sexual display.

Armenian, Arab, Turkish, southern East Indian, Greek, Mediterranean French... women. They grow their own fur coats.

- Would you like to expand upon that (if you'll forgive the pun). By what process do those two factors result in larger breasts?

with clothes, bodily adornments, and especially make-up, it seems that genetics (ie physical strength, fitness for survival etc)) is playing a lesser and lesser role in human evolution as time goes on.

It seems that in general "bigger breasts get recognisably better job prospects". (by males)

Yet, in spite of what many men believe, bigger breasted females are generally, less physically sexy than their smaller breasted sisters.

I am not sure what the genetic implications are in this modern world. But I would put 80% down to overeating.

Clothes contribute to evolution?

Surely you jest!

You must have heard the expression "Clothes Maketh The Man."

Then it should be clear that clothes CREATED man!
