On Phys.Org there is a story about a company that is considering buying an unfinished and abandoned nuclear power plant. They want to install one of their new design generating plants. The great idea is that the plant will be extremely efficient. It will use electromagnetic induction energy to generate steam to produce electricity. This immediately raises one big question for me. Where will they get the electricity to run the electromagnetic induction system? The story doesn't say much about that, it just gives the basic information and a link to the companies web site. I followed that link and didn't really see anything that explained this. In fact it looked like a lot of hand waving, such as scammers frequently use.

The story is at Nevada company to pursue purchase of unfinished nuke
