was it 2010 when the BP oil spill in the gulf of mexico
occurred?

BP told the court that it believed that the settlement
would be apx 7.8 billion dollars.

they have only paid out apx 4 billion dollars and have
now appealed the courts decision and stopped all payments
of court ordered settlements.

from what I understood of the 60 minutes episode video
BP feels as if fraud is taking place in the settlement procedures that lead up to a claim for damages.

the claim form clearly states that you must establish that you
suffered injury that was caused by the spill.

"the claim is for those that assert economic loss due to the spill"

and BP agreed to those terms.

it is my opinion that 7.8 billion is a extremely low amount
and BP might save money in the long run if it stays the course
that it originally took because it could get worse.

just think about it , the price of shrimp at the grocery stores
increased after this event.
I was economically damaged by the oil spill.
most all Americans were , they just haven't
found out yet.

I havent turned in my claim form , yet. LOL

maybe the next time that BP or any other oil company decides
to bribe government employees in order to save a few thousand
dollars they will immediately remember the consequences of
bribery and what it does to worn out equipment.

I used to hear this saying as a child while growing
up in the south.

if you let your dogs [censored] in your neighbors yards
you shouldn't complain about your neighbors dogs
when they [censored] in your yard.
