Hope you have understood the experiment.
This experiemnt will tell a simple fact:
Every Imapct has its own unique signature.
Infact it carries the impression of time. Which can not be simuated on any Computer.
Similarly the Energy used by the imapct varies.
Now the question is there a way to measure it?
If so then can we come with a Mathematical answer to model the situation?
Even the most ideal experiment setup suffers from its so called failures due to reasons beyond its control.
No manufatcurer can give you the identical Lattice Signature for the experiment.
At best it can give you a mettalic answer.

Understanding metal is also important.
As metallic understanding does not come from exact Maths ... and gives you a very rough answer.
The Molecular Orbitals are understood as Sea of Electrons and the electrons are given a choice to exist in large space..And luckily all the electrons keep up with their promise to hold the atoms together and do not allow Ionisation of Atoms. It is intersting to note that Electrons are "free" due to delocatization of Probability Space and yet bounded by the influence of Atom(to disallow formation of Ions).Which is contradictory.
Unless they still have precise Rule of Electron distribution it is not possible to compute the metallic nature consistently.
There is a very rough understanding of actual Nature. Chemists do not ask for precise answers(except in exceptional cases) therefore they do not have the trouble of handling Singularity very often.
