I have been using a ventless heater now for over 2 years, and it has made the living room and dining room quite comfortable--once it heats up. It takes a while to warm up first thing in the morning, but I have never had a problem with fumes of any kind. I have a CO detector right underneath it, and it has never gone off. Once in a while, when the heater hasn't been run for a while, it sets off the smoke alarm at the first lighting, but I have learned to not pay attention to it at those times. It's a great little heater and has an internal fan to blow the hot air out into the room rather than have it go straight up. It works for me.

If you don't care for reality, just wait a while; another will be along shortly. --A Rose
