Yes get some sleep but yes vibrations is what you are seeing and yep you have worked it out.

Mirrors are notorious for that problem if all you are trying to do is change the direction on the beam 2 x90 degree beam prisms will do it without the vibration problem for less than $20 each.

These problems are why I say to you be harder on yourself and your experiment.
