The origin of the word 'science' is the greek(?) word for 'knowledge'. The pursuit of knowledge is what science is about. It is not "in its extreme forms" used to destroy god etc;. Science is not anti-god-- though it is anti-ignorance of a wilful sort that ignores inconvenient evidence. Science does not study 'god', rather science studies "the nature and behaviour of phenomena in the physical and natural world". That's a succinct dictionary definition which seems to sum up quite well the nature of scientific study. No mention of god. Similarly theology has little mention of science.

What do you mean by "GOD" David? If you read the many posts in this forum you will realise that the definitions equal the number of posters, as everyone seems to hold a different perception. What is yours?
